(Second) Breakfast Bowl

Okay real talk I love breakfast so much I eat it twice a day lol! First thing I eat is a bowl of cereal, my faves are Vector and Just Right. As a disclaimer, please know that I am not a professional nutritionist and my diet is not perfect; I simply eat the healthiest that I can without depriving myself or stressing out about what I eat! It has taken me a long time to develop a healthy relationship with food, so it is important for me not to put pressure on myself to eat “perfectly” or even think about what I eat too much. That said, I know that processed cereals, even ones marketed as “healthy” are not the best way to start the day because of all the sugar, and an ideal breakfast would actually be some healthy fat and protein such as eggs with avocado. However, I am too lazy in the morning to cook and I crave cereal so that is what I eat :)

As for this recipe, this is the snack I eat between breakfast and lunch. When I worked 9-5, it was the perfect thing to tide me over until having lunch after my 12pm workout. Now that I don’t work full time, I am always on the go and often still have a late lunch, opting for this snack after my morning workout. I have been refining the ingredients of this bowl for a while, it used to contain oats and protein powder and was much more decadent, but this is the version that I love now, and it’s lighter and healthier!

Disclaimer # 2: I have never followed a recipe in my life therefore I do not expect you to either! The following is a very loose guideline (I don't actually measure when I make it, I just eyeball), so feel free to do whatever proportions you like :)

2-3 Spoonfuls 0% plain greek yogurt

1-2 Tbsp peanut butter

1 Banana

3/4 cup frozen berries

Optional:

Add: protein powder (chocolate)

Oats

Granola

Chia seeds

Cinnamon

PrOATein Bar (chopped up)

Put it all in a bowl/Tupperwear and in the fridge overnight, or in your bag if you are on the go. The berries thaw nicely :) In this one I added a chocolate fudge flavour PrOATein Bar for that indulgent taste.

Disclaimer #3: I never ever make it look this aesthetic, this is purely for the blog LOL so don’t feel sad if you can’t make aesthetic meals!
