Eating On The Go

If you know me you know that I am ALWAYS on the go, fitting in a million different activities each day that are often all over the city. This means that when I leave my house for the day, I am usually not coming back and need to have breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks packed in order to stay healthy and not go broke lol! So I am always looking for food options that are easy to carry around and eat anywhere.

Some examples of my go-to on-the-go foods: my second breakfast bowl (recipe in another post), apple, clementines, nuts, dinner leftovers, a sandwich, and a PrOATein Bar.

I am obsessed with granola bars/protein bars and rarely go a day without one. I love being able to throw one in my bag and go and eat it whenever and wherever. Pro tip: dunking them in coffee or tea is pure heaven!

The problem is, many granola bars are actually not much better for you then chocolate bars. It can be really difficult to see through marketing, as many are disguised as healthy but actually contain a ton of sugar! And others have that chalky taste as if you’re eating pure protein powder.

One of my favourite bars that is packed with protein and isn’t chock-full of sugar and artificial crap is PrOATein Bar. PrOATein Bars have 15g of protein, 10g of fibre, and only 160 calories and 9g of sugar (which is pretty good for a granola bar!).

My favourite flavour is the Chocolate Fudge (obviously), and they also have Vanilla Blueberry, Banana Chocolate, and White Chocolate Coconut.

Try cutting them up and adding to a smoothie bowl!

PS. Are you guys interested in healthy dinner recipes? LMK and I'll start posting more about what I eat!
