Meal Delivery: Week 1

My first time trying a meal delivery service; Proper Foods Co.!

If you know me, you know that I hate cooking. My roommates in university would always make fun of my meals, which were literally me throwing random vegetables and chicken in a pan and calling it a casserole :’). I have never followed a recipe in my life and avoid anything that requires going in the oven. Not because I CAN’T cook, just because I don’t enjoy it and don’t want to spend my time on it. Now, I’m very fortunate to be living at home and have a wonderful mother who makes healthy dinners for our family every night (love you Mommy you the real MVP). But I am on my own for lunches, and I usually just take leftovers or make a sandwich, but this week I decided to try something new and have partnered up with Proper Foods Co. to try their meal delivery service!

Proper Foods Co. sent me 5 meals twice this week, see below for the meals in my first delivery!

I want to note that I didn’t use this as a ‘meal plan’ per se, as I don’t track my macros or measure what I eat at all. I’m not trying to lose weight or manage my eating by any means, I am simply trying to avoid cooking lol. However if you are trying to manage your weight and eating habits, Proper Foods prints the macros on each meal for you! They have 3 sizes; Balanced, Low/No Carb, and Large, so you can find the right plan for you. When you order you can also specify what foods you like and don’t like! Their plans start at $140 per week for 10 meals (ie. 2 per day for 5 days), so it’s $14/meal which is less than what you’d pay if you were to eat out or order in, plus it’s much healthier!

I used to struggle a lot with my relationship with food, so not having to think about or worry about what I eat is really important to me, and one of the best parts of a meal delivery service like Proper Foods Co. There are a lot of them out there and this is the first one I’ve tried, but I’d highly recommend it! For a discount on your first week, send me a message :)
